Ordering:

To place an order for a commissioned instrument, a deposit of 1/2 the total price is required before construction begins, $250 of which is non-refundable. The remainder will be due upon completion, prior to the delivery of the instrument. Prices do not include any applicable taxes/duties or shipping/insurance/duty charges.

Pricing:

Pricing for guitars to be delivered in 2009 start at $3200 Cdn for all standard Karol Guitar steel string models. Baritone and Classical guitars start at  $3500 Cdn. 

Standard features include:

  • Solid top, choice of AAA Sitka Spruce or Red Cedar
  • Solid back and sides, choice of Tropical or African Mahogany
  • One, three or five piece neck, 12 or 14 frets to the body
  • Choice of standard, tapered, or straight headstock design
  • Bone compensated saddle, bone nut
  • All wood binding on body, choice of woods available
  • Bound fretboard, 20 frets (18 on parlours)
  • Custom size neck, string spacing and nut width
  • Chrome 510 Gotoh tuning pegs , 18:1 ratio
  • Inlaid Mother of Pearl "K" headstock logo
  • Karol standard 12th fret inlay design, or Mother of Pearl dots on fretboard
  • Fretboard - Ebony or East Idian Rosewood
  • Bridge material - Ebony or East Indian Rosewood
  • Exotic wood segmented rosette ring 3 line purfling, choice of colours/woods
  • Nitro Lacquer body finish, hard oil finish on neck/headstock

Commissioned Karol guitars come standard with a deluxe, arched multi-ply hardshell case in tweed or black covering. Warranty: All Karol guitars are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of ten years to the original owner. Warranty does not cover normal playing wear and tear, or damage caused by environmental conditions such as extremes of temperature and/or humidity.

Karol guitars are manufactured in a controlled environment of 40% R.H. and should be maintained at 40% R.H. during dry climate conditions. Use of a high quality guitar humidifer is recommended during dry weather periods.
