Whats New !!!

If you love guitars, then the Montreal Guitar Show was the place to be. This year's event was  held July 3rd, 4th and 5th, at the Palais de Congres in Montreal. David Wren of 12th Fret in Toronto did a wonderful job of capturing the essence of the show. See it (and me !!!) here ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V95lDhc2wnE.

Just before Tommy Emmanuel's show in Montreal last year (we are back again on Aug 20th this year), a kind gentleman captured Tommy giving one of my baritones a whirl after his soundcheck. You can see it here -

Karol Custom Guitars is proud to be the Luthier Sponsor for the Toronto Fingerstyle Guitar Association - check out what's going on at www.fingerstyleguitar.ca
. Upcoming shows  include  the great Tommy Emmanuel, Stephen Bennett, and Mr. 335, Larry Carleton.

The 2009 Cayamo Songwriters cruise  was an unbelievably fantastic time. Check out Ed Robertson of the Bare Naked Ladies performing his theme to Big Bang Theory on a Karol baritone in the Atrium here -

The son of one of my building students, Tyler Cowan, as part of his film studies degree at Ryerson University, has created a 5 minute documentary on my passion for making guitars. The Passion of Tony Karol, can be seen here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnNfyjNR3oM

Bruce Cockburn used his new Karol Baritone to record the track "Peace March" on his new CD, Life Short Call Now. Pictured below is Bruce playing the 2nd encore at the Paradise Theatre in California on August 6th, 2006. He played Peace March for the first time live on tour that night, and ended the show with a baritone version of All the Diamonds. Many thanks to Layne Russell for the wonderful photos, check out more of Layne's work at www.flickr.com/photos/applecrisp . Learn more about Bruce at www.cockburnproject.net, and on his personal site www.brucecockburn.com .
